AES attended the DEBRA Sporting Challenge held at Holland and Holland on the 15th September 2017 fortunately the weather was kind to us. The day was a resounding success for all concerned.
The targets were at times challenging for those new to the sport but nonetheless everyone enjoyed the day – despite missing a few clays. Trevor Bell was runner over the day, won again supporting a further team as they were short on numbers (team of 4 required) to shoot a Flush (random clays flying everywhere!) and our team came 2nd overall. Not a bad days shooting for all those involved. We certainly came home with a few bottles of Champagne to celebrate.
The shooting event was followed by a very enjoyable seat down meal and a live and silent auction to raise money for the DEBRA Charity. The sum raised during both the live and silent auction raised an astonishing £15,000 – what an achievement for such a worthy cause. We look forward too possibly supporting this event next year.
