We are nearing completion on a self build project in Millford on sea, last week we attended site to get the ASHP, ground floor underfloor heating, solar PV and Tesla Powerwall up and running.
The first floor will soon be ready for the radiator installation once decoration has been completed, then we will be completing the final lagging, set up and handover.
We have selected the Ultra Quiet 11kW Mitsubishi Ecodan air source heat pump which will provide heating and hot water all year round. The addition of a 4kWp flat roof mounted solar system complete with Solaredge optimisers, free online monitoring and a solar iboost will be sure to assist with the running costs of the heat pump all year round.
A last minute decision was also made to add the market leading Tesla Powerwall to store some of that excess electricity in the summer months and with smart grids and off peaks tariffs due to become widely more competitive over the coming years due to the influx of electric vehicles that are soon going to be on our roads, our clients now have the added benefit of charging the Powerwall off peak to maximise their savings. In addition to this, the system has also been installed with battery backup with two separate fuse boards for essential and non essential loads so in the event of a power cut, lighting, TVs, Internet and fridge freezers will stay on until power is restored.
