Abel Environmental have very recently installed a 14kW R3i22 Mitsubishi Ecodan system in Upham Hampshire. The clients driver for installing a heat pump was to get off oil and what better way to achieve this than with a Mitsubishi Ecodan ASHP.
The project required some very detailed heat loss calculations the majority of the build being solid uninsulated walls. Part of the upgrade included changing the existing cylinder from vented to unvented along with the upgrade of all the radiators in the property and a kick space heater in the utility where there was a lack of wall space for a radiator.
We were also contracted to supply and install a new fuse board, ready for the heat pump system.
It was requested to try and keep in keeping with the feel of the property in certain focal point areas, therefore we utilised some Zehnder Column radiators in order to stay in keeping with the age of the property.
As with all of our systems a Mel Cloud Dongle has been installed to provide remote access to the system for the client enabling them to control their heating and hot water from anywhere in the world. We are fortunate that most of our clients allows us access to their systems enabling us to offer great support for years to come.
