We have just completed the heating & hot and colds at this beautiful property located in Pewsey.
This property has been built using SIPS construction providing a high level of thermal efficiency and air tightness. As the property is in the country side there is no mains gas therefore the client was looking for alternative ways to providing reliable heating and hot water which is why we selected the proven and market leading Mitsubishi Ecodan products. Due to the size of the propety the heat loss was at such that two units were required to heat the property at the design ambient air temperature of minus 3, therefore we have installed two units in series otherwise known as a cascade system. Unlike other products on the market the Mitsubishi Ecodan cascade systems can alternate between each outdoor unit depending on the load of the property to ensure that one unit does not have more run hours than the other, this is a unique feature of this systems and ensures longer product life of the system.
The house heating is supplied by a in screed UFH system to the entire ground floor all controlled via the Heatmiser Neo Stat system, on the first floor we have installed Henrad column radiators which are also fed from an UFH manifold. The benefit of this installation technique is that none of the radiators are controlled via thermostatic radiator valves and instead every room upstairs also has a room thermostat winch fully integrates with the rest of the property.
In addition to the heating we were also contracted to install all the hot and cold water services, a mains booster pump, secondary return circuit and a water softener.
